Omnitree Web Directory Expanded From 1,400 To 70,000 Domains

Norwegian OmniTree launched an upgraded version of its web directory. From supplying information exclusively about computing and related products, OmniTree with its version II takes a serious step into the general web directory market. Version II contains far more topics than its predecessor and thus directs itself towards a wider audience than previously. The service is now available at http://www.omnitree.com and the directory now contains more than 70,000 domain names.

In addition to covering a larger number of topics the web pages are now laid out in a new format and with a new navigation interface. This interface provides a direct access to all of the pages behind every registered domain. As soon as you have navigated to a domain, a tree structure displaying the pages behind the domain in question is immediately shown. This overview is automatically generated every time a new domain is registered into the system. The software, in most cases using the title of the pages themselves, automatically selects the names of the underlying pages as the title for the corresponding level.

OmniTree Norge ASA is a software company specializing in programs to be used on and in connection with the Internet. The company is located in Kristiansand in the south of Norway supplying software and consulting services to local as well as national/international customers.
