Career Site Begins Regional Expansion CareerWeb, an Internet recruitment site, has launched CarolinasCareerWeb.com. CareerWeb is creating Internet career sites targeted toward regional geographic markets. CarolinasCareerWeb.com plans to meet the needs of the high-growth companies in the Carolinas economy to fill their professional, technical, and managerial vacancies. "CarolinasCareerWeb.com will be the career hub for Carolina job seekers", said Gary Baum, CareerWeb General Manager. "CarolinasCareerWeb is our response to a growing trend in on-line recruiting to limit the global scope of the Internet. Employers find that a global reach may not be as effective as reaching in their own back yard to find qualified candidates". The website at launch includes over 2,000 Carolina jobs from 40 of the Carolinas' top employers and includes detailed profiles of each employer. The site also offers an automated job match feature, a large resume database, informative content relating to living in and moving to the Carolinas and links to the nationally oriented CareerWeb site. Other regionally focused sites are planned for launch later this year.
