All three sites will become part of Mecklermedia's expanding Internet.com network of websites. The Internet.com network of websites provides world-wide real-time news and information resources for Internet professionals and Web developers. The Internet.com network includes other well-known sites such as InternetNews.com, The Electronic Commerce Guide, Stroud's Consummate Winsock Applications List (CWS Apps), The Web Developer's Virtual Library and SearchEngineWatch.com. Internet.com sites currently serve over 20 million pages to 1 million unique visitors monthly. IDG's InfoWorld Names Phil Branon Publisher International Data Group (IDG) has announced the appointment of Phil Branon to Publisher of InfoWorld, the enterprise computing newsweekly. "Phil's promotion to publisher will enable us to continue to grow sales and revenue at a record pace. Phil is a champion of customer service. I am confident that our customers will be thrilled by his new appointment," said Stephen Moylan, CEO and president of InfoWorld. Miller Freeman, Inc. and SAP Sign Publishing Contract Miller Freeman, Inc. and SAP AG announced the signing of an agreement whereby Miller Freeman will publish the first technical magazine for the SAP development community. The SAP Technical Journal, which debuts in January 1999, will be a joint venture between Miller Freeman and SAP Labs, a subsidiary of SAP America, Inc. The goal is to provide accurate, in-depth technical information for the technical people within the SAP community. The quarterly magazine will have an initial distribution of 30,000 copies, and will go to an SAP-developed list of clients and developers, qualified subscribers, and select trade shows. According to Robert Wenig, Director of Advanced Technology at SAP Labs, "We see SAP Technical Journal as a key vehicle to help satisfy the strong demand for information about the technical aspects of developing for the SAP platform. Our partnership with Miller Freeman will allow us a new means by which to get that information to our developers."
