Access to the full array of services available from the global publisher's online journal service is now limited to subscribers. The enhanced service provides users with improvements not included in the pilot version. He continued, "Full-rate subscribers to any of the 300 Wiley journals available in full-text online now receive both print and electronic access as part of their subscriptions." The pilot version of Wiley InterScience was launched in the fall of 1997 to respond to the growing demand for scientific, technical, medical and professional information. Wiley InterScience was initially available to all registered guests free of charge because the company wanted to solicit market feedback as part of its development process. "During the pilot phase, we invited our authors, editors, subscribers and registered guest users to provide feedback about Wiley InterScience and we listened carefully to their suggestions," Pesce explained. "Wiley InterScience has been redesigned to be more intuitive, faster and more efficient for the user."
