Journal Register Company Acquires Town Talk Newspapers and Delaware County Journal Journal Register Company Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Robert M. Jelenic has announced that Journal Register Company has completed its acquisition of Town Talk Southern, Town Talk Eastern and the Delaware County Journal from Lewis B. Lax. Based in Holmes, PA, the acquisition includes three suburban weekly newspapers serving the Philadelphia suburbs of southeastern Delaware County with total weekly distribution of approximately 38,000. "I am happy to welcome these publications to the Journal Register Company family," said Jelenic. "The two Town Talk newspapers are the sister publications to the four Town Talk newspapers based in Media, PA, that we acquired as part of the Goodson acquisition last July. As a matter of fact, the six publications are already sold in combination." Comedian Scott Rubin Named Editor of NationalLampoon.com National Lampoon, a wholly-owned subsidiary of J2 Communications has announced the appointment of Scott Rubin, veteran comedy writer, as Editor of NationalLampoon.com -- an online comedy network set to launch in the Fall. Scott will be overseeing creative direction and original content for the site. Rubin brings a broad background in comedy writing and interactive development to NationalLampoon.com. His material has appeared on The Tonight Show, Late Night with David Letterman, and MTV.
