Lee Kravitz Named New Editor of Parade Magazine

Lee Kravitz, currently Vice President of Parade Publications and founding editor of React magazine, has been named editor of Parade magazine and a Senior Vice President of Parade Publications effective March 1, 2000. The announcement was made by Parade's new chairman and publisher Walter Anderson. Parade magazine is distributed each Sunday by 344 newspapers nationwide with a circulation totaling more than 37 million.

``Lee is one of our country's most creative and accomplished editors. His broad experience in newspapers, magazines, books, and the Internet make him an excellent choice to edit Parade,'' said Mr. Anderson.

Mr. Kravitz succeeds Mr. Anderson, who edited Parade for 20 years before assuming his current position of Chairman, Publisher and CEO of Parade Publications earlier this month. For the past five years, Mr. Kravitz has edited React, a teen magazines launched by Parade Publications in 1995 and currently distributed by 225 newspapers nationwide with a circulation of 3 million. He was also responsible for management of react.com, a popular teen destination on the Internet.

Prior to joining Parade publications, Mr. Kravitz was an editorial director at Scholastic Inc. where he oversaw several magazines and the development of new media and special projects. A graduate of Yale University, Mr. Kravitz also holds a Masters Degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
