Wednesday, February 9, 2000 Media Cynic | Forum | Advertising | Classifieds | Jobs Dana Lyon Leaves Wired to Start One Ventures Dana Lyon, known for her success as Publisher at Wired magazine, has started a contemporary cross media company titled One Ventures, funded by Sierra Ventures. One Ventures will launch a highly visual print magazine that will be published in conjunction with an original content website featuring ecommerce capabilities. All versions of the publication will address culture and design while reporting on business innovation and strategy. Dana Lyon also announced the appointment of I.D. magazine editor Chee Pearlman to Editor-in-Chief for One Ventures. Chee also founded and serves as co-chair of the Daimler Chrysler Design Award, and sits on the national board of the American Society of Magazine Editors. In January 2000, she was named by the Columbia Journalism Review as one of the publishing industry's "Top five editors to watch."
