AltaVista and Women.com Create Women's Channel

AltaVista Company, a media network majority owned by CMGI Inc., and Women.com Networks, Inc., a content provider for women, have announced Women.com will be the exclusive content provider for a co-branded Women's channel on the AltaVista Network. Under terms of a three-year agreement, Women.com will provide content and original programming to the new AltaVista Live! Women's channel.

``The caliber and integrity of Women.com's content is an excellent fit for the Web enthusiasts at the AltaVista Network,'' said Ross Levinsohn, vice-president and general manager of new media for AltaVista. ``The AltaVista Live! Women's channel demonstrates AltaVista's determination to bring premier Web-wide content to this important demographic in the fastest, most relevant way possible.''

``By teaming with AltaVista, we extend our technology-enhanced content to a premier Web destination, making it convenient and easy to find Women.com online,'' noted Anna Zornosa, senior vice president, marketing and strategic partnerships, Women.com.
