Crisis Manager Newsletter Launched

"Crisis Manager," an email newsletter written on the public relations specialty of Crisis Management, has been launched by Jonathan Bernstein of Bernstein Communications, a national consultancy. Information about the newsletter, including subscription instructions, is available on Bernstein's website.

Each "e-zine," to be published semimonthly, contains tips for crisis prevention and management, a crisis management case history, and a reader-participation Q&A section. Bernstein cautioned that his irreverent sense of humor may work its way into his writing as well. The inaugural issue has a case history on "The Internet as a Catalyst for Crises" and offers commentary on what OJ Simpson might have done to positively impact public opinion.

"This is a publication for people who end up being Crisis Managers whether they want to be or not," said Bernstein. "The newsletter provides them with the means for preventing or at least minimizing the damage from future crises."

Bernstein has 20 years of experience in his field, preceded by five years as an investigative and feature reporter. Prior to starting his own consultancy in 1994, he created and headed up the Crisis Communications Group for Ruder Finn, Inc., one of the country's largest PR agencies. He is a columnist on Crisis Management for Arizona Attorney magazine and a frequent speaker at bar association and other professional conferences.
