Friday, February 25, 2000 Media Cynic | Forum | Advertising | Classifieds | Jobs MyBusiness Magazine Launches At Hammock's recommendation, the member magazine is now being published under the title MyBusiness, and is launching with the March/April issue. ``The new title MyBusiness relates better to our readers. No one says `I have an independent business,' but our readers do say `It's My Business,''' said Stark. ``It also tells advertisers who the readers are -- the business owners -- the ones who make the purchase decisions for their companies.'' The editor of MyBusiness, Lisa Waddle, has been an editor and reporter covering small business for four years at the Tennessean and at the Boston Business Journal. At the Tennessean, Waddle also served as editor for all business special publications, including the ``Future 50'' and ``The Greater Nashville 100.'' Hammock has contracted with Management Services, Inc. (MSI) to provide national advertising sales for MyBusiness magazine. MSI is a national sales and marketing firm for a variety of magazines including Kiplinger's Personal Finance and eBay Magazine. MSI has offices in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Detroit, San Francisco, and Atlanta. MSI also served as the advertising sales firm for NFIB's previous magazine, Independent Business. Hammock Publishing, Inc. provides a variety of print and online properties, including customer magazines, newsletters, and website content management services.
