Chairman and CEO Tom Rogers has announced the appointment of David G. Ferm, 52, president of McGraw-Hill's Business Week Group to be the President of the Primedia Business-to-Business Group.

``Dave is a master of driving ad sales, creating unsurpassed media advertising vehicles and developing new franchises,'' said Rogers. ``That is just the skill set Primedia's operations need to guide their growth. Dave has not only been at the helm of Business Week while it has enjoyed unparalleled growth, but he has built Business Week into a superior information product company that CEOs and other business leaders around the world look to for the information to drive the growth of their own businesses."

``I told myself that if I was ever going to leave as unique a franchise as Business Week, it would only be for something that I believed would be at the forefront of creating value in defining the role of business information products in shaping how industries' conduct business in an Internet economy,'' said Ferm. ``Primedia is just that company.''

Ferm was publisher of Business Week from 1993, and was promoted to president of The Business Week Group in 1999. Between 1980 and 1993 he was with The New York Times Company where he served as president of The Golf Company and publisher of Golf Digest from 1992-1993. Other positions at The New York Times Company included director, retail advertising for The New York Times and executive vice president and general manager of Family Circle.
