Posted on March 8, 2000

HighWired has acquired All-Stater Publishing LLC, a privately held magazine and website publishing company based in Columbus, Ohio. All-Stater Sports is a high school sports magazine, almanac and website featuring original content on high school sports. HighWired.com is a community of online high schools, with a network of almost 9,000 schools.

HighWired.com will incorporate content from All-Stater Sports into its new sports product. All-Stater Sports has a circulation of more than 100,000 and a total readership of nearly 700,000 student athletes, coaches, parents and fans. All-Stater Sport's work force of freelance writers and full-time employees will deliver high school sports news and information to the HighWired.com network on a daily basis. Additionally, the All-Stater Sports website content will also be incorporated into HighWired.com's sports product with high school sports news and information.

``The winning high school sports company will be the one that successfully combines community, content and partnerships,'' said Don Young, president and CEO of HighWired.com. ``With our acquisition of All-Stater Sports, we have combined our leading sports community-building product with the best high school sports content in the country. This firmly establishes HighWired.com as the most comprehensive high school sports destination and provides a solid foundation for our continuing growth.''

``All-Stater Sports is in its fifth year of publication and we are proud to offer the most complete coverage of high school athletics on the local, regional and national levels on a daily basis,'' said Nancy Petro, publisher and CEO of All-Stater Publishing. ``By joining with HighWired.com, the leading online education network, we are uniquely positioned to expand on our mission to inform, inspire, and recognize today's high school student athletes.''
