Posted on March 24, 2000

Hollywood.com, an entertainment resource, has appointed John Forgetta as editor-in-chief, announced Laurie Silvers, President, Hollywood.com. Forgetta will be responsible for the overall editorial vision and direction of the site, managing Hollywood.com's staff of writers, editors, producers, designers and video artists. Forgetta joins Hollywood.com from the Los Angeles Times' online Calendar and city guide, where he served as editor-in-chief in charge of editorial and video operations.

``We are thrilled to have John Forgetta join Hollywood.com,'' said Silvers. ``The Company is growing by leaps and bounds. We were looking for someone to help guide that growth, further expand the site's editorial content, and help further differentiate Hollywood.com with its own unique voice. John's stellar background at the L.A. Times and extensive online experience made him a perfect candidate to helm our editorial staff and achieve those goals.''

Before joining the Los Angeles Times, Forgetta was managing editor for Mainspring.com, an e-business consulting and publishing firm. Forgetta was also managing editor and art director for PC World's newsletter group and online publisher of technology and computer news and information. Forgetta is a graduate of Wesleyan University.
