Posted on March 24, 2000

San Diego-based RealAge, Inc. announced today that it has joined together with Prevention magazine, to provide interactive health content for the magazine's website, Prevention.com. RealAge.com will be a key supplier of health content to Prevention.com, part of the Women.com network. The announcement was made by Barbara Newton, Vice President of Women's Publishing at Prevention and by Charlie Silver, the Chief Executive Officer at RealAge.

RealAge.com's personalized health assessments will become a key feature of Prevention.com's content offerings. Prevention.com provides health information to more than 800,000 unique visitors each month and is a key health channel for the Women.com network. RealAge.com has more than 1.9 million registered users and more than 1 million people currently subscribe to the RealAge Tip of the Day.

``This partnership with Prevention brings together a synergy of unique and refreshing attitudes about health,'' said Charlie Silver, RealAge CEO. ``Both companies are committed to creating a dialogue about women's health. I look forward to offering our personalized, interactive content to the Prevention.com community.''

Developed by Michael Roizen, M. D., a professor at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, the RealAge concept is based on the fact that a person's biological age -- or RealAge -- can be younger or older than his or her chronological age. Visitors to RealAge.com can take the interactive RealAge test and receive personalized health recommendations and an Age Reduction plan. In addition to the RealAge test, RealAge.com offers a variety of personalized health assessments and guides.
