Posted on March 29, 2000

The Business Division of Imagine Media, Inc., publisher of the consumer business magazine Business 2.0, has announced a series of 13 key editorial hires. The ongoing expansion will continue as the magazine moves to a biweekly format in May and extends its content onto multiple platforms including online, conferences, television, and a book series.

Editor in Chief James Daly explains: ``There has been a sharply increasing demand for information on how to succeed in business in the Internet Age, and it has prompted our aggressive search for new editorial talent. Since each new hire is crucial to our continued success and growth, I feel extremely fortunate to have already attracted some of the best and brightest editors and writers in the business.''

Strategic additions to Business 2.0's editorial staff include Features Editors Matt Beer and Kevin Hogan. Beer previously covered breaking technology news for the San Francisco Examiner and was daily news producer for MSNBC's The Site; Hogan joins Business 2.0 from Small Business Computing Magazine where he was executive editor. Eric Reyes, sections editor, comes to Business 2.0 as former online editor for the New York Daily News.

Senior Writers Kim Girard, Susan Kuchinskas, and Ed Robinson join from CNET, Adweek, and Fortune respectively. Rachel Lehmann-Haupt, whose work has appeared in publications ranging from The New York Times to Vogue, joins as staff writer. Additionally, Jennifer Nelson comes to Business 2.0 as research manager from Alexander Ogilvy Public Relations, where she served as research and information manager.

Business 2.0 also welcomed John Tomasic, copy editor; Bryan Farmer and Tara Kline, researchers; Alex Perez, editorial assistant; and Diana Walker, assistant photo editor. The editorial team will continue its aggressive expansion, ultimately adding 35 new hires to the staff by this summer.
