Detour Magazine, Inc. forms DetourMedia.com, Inc.

Detour Magazine, Inc. has announced that it has formed DetourMedia.com, Inc., a wholly-owned Delaware subsidiary created to encompass the Company's Internet and e-commerce activities. Through this entity, Detour plans to leverage its existing readership base with the pursuit of its online strategies. Detour currently operates two domains, iDetour.com, a lifestyle affinity portal, and DetourTV.com, a website delivering full motion video online.

Andrew Left, CEO for Detour, stated, ``In its thirteen year existence, Detour has developed a cutting edge and compelling brand and will aggressively cross market its highly successful print operations with its online strategies. DetourMedia.com was formed to not only serve as the corporate umbrella for Detour's Internet activities but to also send a clear signal to the market that Detour is not only an award winning magazine but a full scale media solutions company as its recent strategic relationships with PageSix.com, Excite@home and Load Media, as well as several leading entertainment advertisers, such as CheckOut.com.''

Barbara Zawlocki, Publisher for Detour, noted, ``Detour has been enormously successful in targeting the highly desirable 18 to 34 upscale male and female demographic for our advertisers and will bring this expertise, developed over its long history, to bear through the leveraging of this attractive brand with not only online activities but numerous other brand extensions as well.''
