Imagine Media Announces Launch of New Business Lifestyle Magazine

Imagine Media's Business Division, publisher of Business 2.0, has announced the launch of a new magazine about the culture of work. The new publication is scheduled to debut October 24, 2000 bundled with Business 2.0 and reach a rate base of 300,000.

The new magazine will target individuals whose work and personal lives have converged-people with the power, influence and insight to re-invent their careers, lifestyles, and businesses for the New Economy. The magazine's co-founders -- Lisa Gabor, formerly of InStyle magazine and Richard Pandiscio, formerly of Interview Magazine -- will serve as editor-in-chief and creative director, respectively. In addition to chronicling the trends and new ideas in business, gadgets, architecture, design, travel and fashion, the magazine will address issues common to today's business people: from cures for burn out to strategies for attracting and entertaining clients.

``This magazine, a marriage of business and style, will be geared toward an audience who appreciates that work life and personal life are intertwined and inextricable,'' said Michela O'Connor Abrams, president of Imagine Media's Business Division. ``Just as Business 2.0 delivers insights that stick for the next era of business, this new publication will touch the reader's life outside of work and share insights on the blurring lines between our work and life's passions. This launch signifies our continued commitment to meeting our audience anytime, anyplace, anywhere and in any form.''

The new magazine will be bundled with the October 24, 2000 issue of Business 2.0 with a second issue published and bundled on December 12, 2000. Nine standalone issues are planned for 2001 with a rate base of 125,000. The magazine will be available on newsstands, by subscription, and through the Internet. The title will be unveiled later this year.
