KnightRidder.com Announces Content Distribution Agreement With Yahoo

KnightRidder.com has announced a distribution agreement with Yahoo! Inc., to provide local and regional news headlines from its Real Cities network. KnightRidder.com will provide consumers of Yahoo! News with a variety of daily local news headlines from cities across the United States, as well as additional headlines to the Full Coverage area of Yahoo! News.

``This agreement is a great opportunity for us to grow our reach and awareness,'' said Dan Finnigan, president of KnightRidder.com. ``The Yahoo! relationship allows us to reach one of the Internet's leading sites and allows its users the chance to explore our enhanced Web sites. The KnightRidder.com headlines and news briefs are available on My Yahoo! pages covering up to as many as 20 major U.S. markets. Initially headlines and news briefs are available in the following markets: San Francisco Bay Area, Miami/Orlando, Philadelphia, Detroit, Charlotte, Kansas City, Twin Cities, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Akron/Cleveland and Tallahassee.
