Comedy World Network Launches

Comedy World, an independent entertainment network, has announced the launch of its 24-hour network created to produce and broadcast original comedy programming. Comedy World will feature programs from comedians such as Sandra Bernhard, Kids in the Hall (HBO and Comedy Central), Eddie Griffen (WB network's Malcolm & Eddie), Harland Williams (Something About Mary and The Whole Nine Yards) and stand-up favorites such as Ken Ober (MTV's Remote Control), Allen Havey (Comedy Central) and Bobby Slayton.

The network provides a mix of live audio, streaming video, animation, and games, all broadcast live from the Comedy World studios in Los Angeles. Listeners and viewers can access Comedy World via the Internet and early this fall via nationally syndicated radio broadcasts, local radio broadcasts and satellite radio.

``With the cutting edge talent we've signed along with the interactive nature of the shows, Comedy World is the only place for comedy fans with an appetite for the funniest and freshest humor on the air,'' said Jody Sherman, President & CEO of Comedy World. ``We encourage our audience to listen to the radio shows, read the jokes and other funny stuff posted on the site, watch the short animated features, as well as the live and archived shows, and share the experience with others.''
