Cahners Joins ScreamingMedia Network of Content Providers

ScreamingMedia, an aggregator and distributor of digital content, has announced that Cahners Business Information, a business-to-business publisher, has joined its network of content providers. Under the agreement, Cahners will supply original content from its b-to-b magazines and websites to ScreamingMedia, which will redistribute it to its network of websites and wireless subscribers.

``We're delighted to have such a great selection of content from a brand-name provider like Cahners,'' said ScreamingMedia's CEO Kevin C. Clark. ``This kind of highly specialized content has a great home in a network as diverse as ours.''

``We're committed to building our presence on the Internet,'' said Brian Nairn, president and COO of Cahners. ``This licensing agreement with ScreamingMedia means our rich editorial content will reach a wider audience and also create a stream of online revenue for Cahners.''

ScreamingMedia is currently distributing content from more than 30 of Cahners' titles, including: business magazines such as Publishers Weekly and Electronic Business; lifestyle publications such as Casual Living, Home Accents Today and Kids Today; design publications such as Building Design and Construction, Global Design News and Furniture Today; and industry titles including Restaurants & Institutions, Modern Materials Handling and Professional Builder. Cahners plans to provide content from more of its publications in the coming months.
