Doublespace has announced that the premiere issue of Wink Magazine is available this week. Wink, a multi-cultural fashion and beauty magazine, is available free of charge in both traditional print format and as an online presence. For its debut issue, Wink mailed 25,000 copies and will distribute approximately 15,000 copies through bookstores and newsstands in the NYC area.

``Wink's first issue is already generating a lot of excitement because it's the right idea, the right audience and the right time,'' said fashion photographer Ralph Clermont, the magazine's founder. ``Wink is driven by an unshakeable conviction that an American fashion and beauty magazine should reflect the cultural diversity and influences that shape American pop culture today. Now that Wink's first issue is on the streets, we have taken a major step toward our goals,'' he continued.

Stories featured in Wink's first issue include: ``Love Taboos,'' a look at the state of interracial dating; ``Boys on the Beach,'' which considers the perils and pleasures of ``sex and the female tourist;'' and ``Technicolor Dreams,'' an article that shows how top multi-cultural actresses are gradually making inroads into America's movie industry. Other editorial content includes articles on books, film, cooking, music, politics, media and (fashion.
