Borders.com Launches Email Newsletters

Borders.com's new Borders Mail service provides subject-specific newsletters that subscribers choose based on their personal tastes and interests, from philosophy to finance. Borders Mail subscribers can register to receive any or all of five monthly newsletters, which deliver graphics in addition to written content. In addition to links to new releases and recommended titles, each Borders Mail missive will also point to interviews, author essays, reviews from Borders' and other tidbits.

The current Borders Mail offerings are alchemy (mind/body/spirit), romantica (romance), virago (women's studies), tractor beam (science fiction) and business class, for business topics. Additional topic areas will be added to Borders Mail in coming months.

``Borders Mail offers our subscribers deeper insight into a specific interest area,'' Rich Fahle, content manager and site editor for Borders.com, said. ``Borders customers have come to expect rich, funky content that makes them think, is fun to read and fun to look at, and Borders Mail hits all those marks.''
