Streaming Magazine Launches Print Version

Posted on July 24, 2000

Streaming Magazine, a magazine dedicated to streaming media, will now also be available on news stands. Until now, Streaming Magazine was a subscription-only publication that began life as eRadio, focusing on the Web migration of broadcast content. Beginning with its July 2000 issue, Streaming Magazine will be sold on news stands at Barnes & Noble, Borders, Hastings, MicroCenter and Super Stand, and will continue to be available by subscription online.

``Streaming is the most explosive growth area of the Internet. All Websites will eventually stream audio and video. Streaming Magazine is the hot Silicon Valley buzz,'' said publisher B. Eric Rhoads. ``We also know that Streaming Magazine appeals to Internet entrepreneurs all over the world. One of the Web's most important mandates is providing information to the people who want it. We're very happy to comply and, in doing so, accelerate streaming media's growth.''

Edward Ryan, editor of Streaming Magazine, said, ``Our mission won't change one bit -- or byte. Things move quickly in this field, so we'll continue to super-serve streaming veterans and newbies.''

The June issue of Streaming Magazine provides coverage and analysis of the recently announced agreements between MP3.com and two major record labels, and a cover-featured interview with Michael Robertson, CEO of MP3.com. Headquartered in West Palm Beach, Florida, Streamline Media Inc. publishes Streaming Magazine and Radio Ink magazine, and conducts technology, marketing and management events. Its Streamline Press division publishes and distributes books and special reports on the Internet, broadcasting, advertising, marketing and management.
