Logan's Run Novels Return as Ebooks

Posted on August 7, 2000

Virtual Publishing Group has announced the return of the well-known Logan science-fiction series by William F. Nolan. William F. Nolan's Logan series -- Logan's Run, Logan's World and Logan's Search -- will be re-issued by Virtual Publishing Group as both ebooks and trade paperbacks. Additionally, Logan's Return, a 60-page novelette which picks up the Logan adventure, will be available exclusively as an ebook downloaded via the Virtual Publishing Group's ebooks2go.com website.

A tale which foretold contemporary society's youth-obsession and intrusive surveillance techniques, the 1965 novel Logan's Run offered the chilling tale of a policeman's personal revolt in a futuristic state where all people over 30 are executed. This book later inspired the successful 1976 MGM film starring Michael York, a TV series starring Gregory Harrison, two additional novels and a cult following. A new film version of Logan's Run produced by Joel Silver (The Matrix) is currently in the works at Warner Bros.

The three Logan books will be offered in two formats. A trade paperback edition, with the first 200 copies personally autographed by William F. Nolan, will be available. Logan's Run will be available for a tentative retail price of $17.95 and Logan's World and Logan's Search will be available for a tentative retail price of $15.95 each. The paperbacks can also be purchased directly from the Virtual Publishing Group website, and the series will also be available for download from ebooks2go.com in the Adobe PDF format.

Virtual Publishing Group is an independent publisher specializing in the presentation of high-quality ebooks and trade paperbacks. The company's recent releases include the ebook premieres of Ed Mitchell's Gold Rush 2000 and Les Roberts' Saxon Detective Series.
