Platinum Magazine Hits Newsstands

Posted on August 7, 2000

Platinum magazine has announced that its fashion, beauty, entertainment and lifestyle magazine would no longer be found free of charge in cafes or in selected stores throughout the greater Boston area. Platinum will now be distributed throughout New England newsstands beginning with the August 2000 issue.

Nash Yacoub, publisher and editor-in-chief of Platinum, says in a release, "I am proud of the astonishing growth of platinum. It could not have been done without the tremendous sacrifices of the staff. We look forward to providing clean, beautiful and informative pages."

The August issue includes a story focused on young, up and coming London designers. The piece is complimented with a spread of the remarkable ``scooping and slouchy'' shapes by designer Charlotte Mann. In the beauty section readers find their Hair RX with all the right solutions. September's cover is Heather Rosbeck of the newest Speilberg flick The Contenders. The issue will feature articles on fall's runway report and its fabulous faces, as well as feel-good products for the upcoming fall season.
