GetConnected.com Introduces Hooked Webzine
Posted on August 15, 2000
GetConnected.com, a resource enabling consumers to compare and purchase connectivity services and products, has launched Hooked, a webzine designed for wired consumers -- from the novice to the technically savvy. Available on the GetConnected.com website, Hooked's content is featured on a number of GetConnected.com partner websites including Homestore.com, an online real estate destination.
Hooked features original editorial profiling noted industry personalities, previews of future technology and insight into issues that connected consumers face everyday. Tobin Streett, GetConnected.com's Senior Editor drives the editorial direction for Hooked. Streett was formerly the head writer for the NBC show Real Life and Editor-ln-Chief of the bi-weekly entertainment magazine, The Improper Bostonian.
``Whether accessing our services through GetConnected.com or via our partners' sites, smart consumers already know that GetConnected.com is the premiere resource for unbiased and useful information about connectivity services and options,'' said Tracy Lawrence, co-founder and CEO of GetConnected.com. ``It has been our strategic plan to first build the site, create and continually enhance the database and then add original content. With the launch of Hooked, we are right on plan.''
Ongoing features of Hooked include:
- Castelli on Culture - Hooked columnist Tracy Castelli gives her innermost thoughts about how technology fits into her lifestyle.
- TechMom - a column for mothers interested in utilizing technology to better their already busy lives.
