Penton Media to Launch eService Provider

Posted on September 8, 2000

Penton Media, Inc. has announced it will launch eService Provider magazine in January 2001. eService Provider will target senior level management at Web and application hosting firms, including CEOs, CTOs, CIOs, and sales, marketing, and operations executives.

``The external hosting of Web sites and software applications across the Internet represents a fundamental paradigm shift in how businesses deploy and access software and information technology'' stated Randy Goldner, publisher of eService Provider. ``The magazine will provide insight and perspective on the strategies, companies, technologies and people leading the service provider market. Each issue will focus on the most important business and technical issues faced by these readers. We will also provide broader industry coverage to help define and grow the hosting market and to provide a sense of community for industry participants. It will be written from an `insider' perspective with analysis, humor, and high information utility.''

``We have deep experience serving the data communications and Internet service provider market with Boardwatch magazine, ISPcon, and ISPworld.com,'' said Tom Kuczynski, vice president of Penton's Internet World Media Group. ``Now we will extend that leadership into the emerging Web and application hosting market with eService Provider magazine and with our tradeshow and conference, ASPcon.''

The business magazine will be published monthly, with 30,000 qualified circulation targeting the estimated 10,000 firms in North America who provide Web and application hosting services. The magazine will be published out of Penton Media's Golden, Colorado, office, the home of Penton's service provider group, which includes Boardwatch and CLEC Magazines, ISPworld.com, and the ASPCON, ISPCON and CLECexpo trade shows.
