Bill Cosby Ebook Leads iPublish.com's October List

Posted on September 11, 2000

With an eBook original by Bill Cosby as its centerpiece, iPublish.com at Time Warner Books has unveiled its October list, the second of its monthly lists of eBook releases. iPublish.com at Time Warner Books, the electronic publishing division of Time Warner Trade Publishing, will launch as an online publishing Website in the first quarter of next year.

Leading the list is American Schools: The $100 Billion Challenge, an eBook original written by Bill Cosby, PhD with Old Dominion University professor of education, Dwight Allen, EdD. iPublish.com's October list also showcases two debut novels being released only as eBooks: Ben Peller's Living the Gimmick and Thompson Sayer Crocketts's Turtle Island Dreaming.

``We are thrilled about our October list because it showcases eBook originals by both celebrated best-selling authors and extraordinary newcomers, and it offers readers a balance of entertaining, thought-provoking, and inspirational works'' said Claire Zion, editorial director of iPublish.com. ``This list is just a sampling of the exciting range of titles and formats we will publishing in the coming months.''

Zion also singled out Selling the Invisible by Harry Beckwith as an example of the innovative ways iPublish.com is developing new electronic formats to better serve specific readers. Part of the Portal Biz Book series, Beckwith's work is available in a specially condensed eBook format.

Rounding out the October list are titles by several of Time Warner's bestselling authors, including David Baldacci, Jane Goodall, and Breena Clarke. iPublish.com titles are available through several eBook formats, including Microsoft Reader, Gemstar's Rocket eBook and Softbook, Glassbook, and PeanutPress. Prices for the ebooks range from $4.95 to $14.95.
