Music.com Names Andy Gensler Managing Editor

Music.com, an online music resource, has announced the appointment of Andy Gensler to the position of Managing Editor. He will report directly to Theresa Czarnecki, Executive Producer for Music.com, Inc.

Gensler will be responsible for overall editorial creation and presentation for the Music.com website, including reviews, features, interviews, and visitor interaction. He will manage a team of editors and freelance writers and coordinate with the design and production staff to create interactive content. Gensler will also be responsible for the creation and execution of yearly and monthly editorial calendars.

Gensler joins Music.com from VH1.com, where he served as the Reviews and News Editor. In this capacity, he was responsible for overseeing all network writers, edit staff, promotion, design and programming dedicated to the website's daily music content. Prior to this, Gensler helped design and launch Spin.com, Spin Magazines national music website, and managed the site's content offerings. Gensler has also served as an editor for Spin Magazine and Musician Magazine and as a freelance writer for Spin, Musician Magazine, Paper Magazine, and CMJ Monthly.
