netLibrary Inc., a provider of eBooks and Internet-based content management services, has announced an eBook alliance with Fatbrain, a technical bookseller and provider of web-based information management for businesses. The alliance brings together Fatbrain.com's expertise in information management and print book distribution with netLibrary's Virtual Library Solution to serve the needs of corporate libraries, corporate universities, and government agencies.

Fatbrain.com will add netLibrary eBooks to the solutions currently provided to their customer base. netLibrary will host, manage and distribute eBooks to complement web-based bookstores and information management systems available through Fatbrain.com. netLibrary launched its Virtual Library Solution for corporate libraries and corporate universities in April.

``The advantages of netLibrary's Virtual Library Solution for corporations are amplified when combined with Fatbrain.com's comprehensive intranet bookstore fulfillment system for hard-bound professional books,'' said netLibrary vice president of corporate sales Bruce Greiner. ``We look forward to working with Fatbrain.com, a dynamic company with proven solutions to serve corporate knowledge management needs.''

Dan Rush, vice president and general manager of products and sales for Fatbrain.com, said, ``netLibrary's eBook collection and content management solution complements our own Information Exchange service offering for businesses. Being able to offer eBooks from netLibrary and hard-bound books from Fatbrain.com results in a compelling solution for our customers that meets the professional knowledge needs of many types of companies and organizations.''
