iTurf and Swell.com Announce Action Sports Partnership

iTurf Inc., a network of teen websites, and Swell.com, an action sports destination, have announced a strategic partnership to provide coverage of action sports on iTurf.com. Under terms of the agreement, Swell will provide content -- news, information and entertainment -- along with photography and streaming video, contests and other content for surfing, skateboarding and snowboarding enthusiasts on iTurf's sports channel.

``Surfing, snowboarding and skateboarding are three of the most popular sports among our target audience and the team at Swell puts together a best-of-breed package that appeals to ardent fans and newcomers alike,'' said Donna Krampf, general manager of iTurf.com. ``Swell's close relationships with the stars of the action sports world and their experienced, talented staff make Swell a top action sports outlet and we are very pleased to be partnering with them.''

Jeff Berg, Chairman and CEO of Swell.com, said, ``iTurf has built a tremendous network of content, commerce and community sites and is an ideal partner for us. Together we will be able to reach lifelong action sports participants as well as the highly desirable Gen Y demographic.''

In addition to content, Swell will also provide iTurf users with access to its online storefront for surfing, snowboarding and skateboarding apparel, equipment and accessories. Swell.com recently acquired Surfline, a popular surf site (5 million page views in August, 2000), and will be launching Crossrocket (snowboarding) and Monsterskate (skateboarding) this fall.
