Market research shows that consumers want to do more with their pictures on the Internet. According to InfoTrends Research Group, Inc., a Boston-based analyst firm specializing in digital imaging, consumers will upload approximately 1.7 billion pictures to online photo services in 2000. That number will increase to more than 6 billion pictures uploaded in 2003. ``With the new kodak.com, Kodak is aggressively reinforcing its position as the leading photography company in the world--both online and offline,'' said Carl Gustin, chief marketing officer and senior vice president, Eastman Kodak Company. ``By embracing new technologies, kodak.com delivers services and information that will let consumers do more with their pictures than ever before. We believe people will spend a lot of time using Kodak's exciting new photo applications and services. This strategy supports our growth and success in the Internet marketplace and complements our online consumer initiatives with retail partners.''
