FHM Collections to Launch in the U.S.

Posted on October 6, 2000

FHM's Executive Publisher, Dana Fields, has announced that the company will now launch FHM Collections, a fashion magazine that will provide readers with a guide to fashion and grooming. FHM Collections will be a consumer-oriented, fashion magazine for men available in the U.S. and promises to embrace style in the broadest sense by also featuring accessories, footwear, watches, belts, grooming products and fragrance available in the U.S.

``Simply put, we will be the only pure men's fashion magazine on the market. Every European country has a menswear magazine but there is a gaping hole in the U.S. marketplace right now for the affluent and upscale portion that wants 100% menswear and style trends'' said Dana Fields. ``As other publications struggle to find their identity, FHM Collections will deliver exactly what it promises.''

FHM Collections will hit newsstands in March 2001 and will be published twice a year, highlighting Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter fashions as well as featuring the best of the Milan, Paris and New York fashion shows. Dana Fields promises a rate base of 100,000 for the first issue. The circulation will be comprised of subscribers residing in A county zip codes with average household incomes of over $75,000 as well as a mailing to key fashion retailers nationwide. Newsstand will generate the additional 50,000 paid readers.

FHM launched FHM Collections in the U.K. in the fall of 1998. In the U.K., the circulation for FHM Collections is approaching 100,000 in circulation. In conjunction with the March 2001 launch, FHM Collections will host a media tour with Antony Wright, FHM Fashion Editor, in key markets across the country. The tour will involve a partnership with top retails stores in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York.
