In June, the site relocated from Atlanta to Los Angeles to gain greater access to movie studios, executives and talent, and named David Poland as editor-in-chief. Poland has been columnist for roughcut.com's popular daily movie insider column, The Hot Button, for the past three years. Poland will oversee the site's new direction and a staff of five from roughcut.com's West Los Angeles offices. Over the course of the next few months, roughcut.com will premiere several new site features. Each Monday, Wednesday and Friday, VoicesPro features studio heads and movie insiders sharing first-hand accounts of their experiences in show business. Each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, CivilianVoices invites regular Internet users to voice their opinions on movie-related subject matter in an edited forum. VoicesPro contributors include New Line President of Production Mike DeLuca, movie marketing guru Chris Pula and Roger Ebert & The Movies producer Andrea Gronvall, among others. ``The move to Los Angeles completes a critical stage of roughcut.com's growth, locating it in the heart of the industry it has been chronicling so beautifully,'' said Scot Safon, senior vice president of marketing for TNT. ``With the growth of The Hot Button column, the success of recent advertiser promotions such as The Internet Movie Awards and our new features, roughcut.com is showing a wonderful vitality as TNT's unique and lively online voice in the competitive field of movie industry coverage.''
