This free co-branded Internet service for Barnes & Noble retail customers is part of the agreement between Yahoo Inc., Barnes & Noble.com, and Barnes & Noble, Inc., which was announced on September 19, 2000. Barnes & Noble and Yahoo are teaming with Spinway Inc. to provide the Internet service provider (ISP) offering. The free Internet service provides users with a personalized, co-branded Barnes & Noble/My Yahoo homepage along with other personalized Yahoo features. The free ISP also will provide offers and updates from Barnes & Noble stores and Barnes & Noble.com. ``What Barnes & Noble now has is a `network' which serves tens of millions of regular customers,'' said Steve Riggio, vice chairman of Barnes & Noble.com. ``Our integrated marketing program, powered by Yahoo and Spinway, provides us with a vehicle that marries our retail store customers with our Web site.'' As announced on September 19th, Barnes & Noble.com will also become the premier bookseller featured throughout the Yahoo directory and a featured merchant on Yahoo Shopping. Yahoo will feature Barnes & Noble.com graphic links on search results pages and in book category pages in the Yahoo directory.
