Posted on October 16, 2000

Imagine Media's Business Division, publisher of Business 2.0, has announced that fuse will be the name of its soon-to-launch business/lifestyle publication. The magazine will debut bundled with the December 12 issue of Business 2.0.

A photo-driven business magazine, fuse aims to explore the ways in which work, life and style converge today. fuse will chronicle trends and new thinking in careers, management, image, architecture, travel, and fashion. The publication will also address issues common to today's business people -- from cures for burnout to the ways in which design affects a company's bottom line.

``What good is building an empire if you can't find a way to enjoy it? If it doesn't entertain you or satisfy you?'' said Lisa Gabor, fuse editor-in-chief. ``fuse looks at people who find ways to make their work exciting, people who think for themselves. After all, style begins with the way you think, the way you conduct yourself, the way you relate to others. And fuse is about work, life and style.''

``We believe that fuse will be the trailblazer in the business/lifestyle arena in the same way that Business 2.0 has been in the business/New Economy arena since its 1998 launch,'' said Michela O'Connor Abrams, president of Imagine Media's Business Division and publisher of Business 2.0.

The first three issues of fuse will be bundled with the Dec. 12, 2000, Feb. 6, 2001 and April 3, 2001 issues of Business 2.0. The first stand-alone issue of the magazine will debut with the June issue, followed by August, October and December issues. The stand-alone issues will carry a paid circulation of 125,000 and will be available on newsstands, by subscription and through the Internet.
