Clippen.com To Launch Web Content Management Tool

Founded in January 2000, Clippen.com is an Internet company, designed to bring together “clips” of the exact news from the Web which each individual user wants. The company’s clipping technology enables users to “grab” selected information from any webpage which they seek, and to view that content clip on a variety of platforms including the PC, Palm Pilot and/or digital cell phone. The launch for Clippen.com is anticipated for November 2000. The concept follows a recent trend of emerging web browsing and content management tools, such as Octopus.com.

“Clippen.com will provide our users immediate access to all the information on the Web that’s important to them,” explains company chairman and CEO Mark Briggs. “Each day, with a simple click on the Clippen.com icon, users will quickly view the exact pieces of information from the Web which are of importance to them in business or personal life. This may include market information, local weather, travel route reports, community bulletins and more. Clippen.com will streamline the best content of the Internet in an easy-to-use format designed by each individual user.”

Clippen.com is a web content management utility designed to help its users capture and track pieces of information from webpages. The user can then interact with these “clips” of information in small portals called ClipViewers. The exact webpages and sections clipped can be changed any time by the user as his or her needs dictate.
