Garden.com has shut down its online gardening retail website and plans to sell its consumer business assets, including product inventory, URLs, content, photo library, and its online gardening tools such as Landscape Planner and Plant Finder. Garden.com also produced a magazine and provided some editorial content on the website.

Detour Magazine d/b/a Detour Media plans to re-launch its two Internet sites along with media partner, Kick Media, on the 15th of December. The two sites to be re-launched are Detourmag.com and DetourTV.com.

American Lawyer Media, Inc., a legal journalism and information company, has named Lloyd M. Johnson as Director of ALM's Corporate Counsel Division.

Walter Isaacson has been named Editorial Director of Time Inc. Editorial Director is the second highest editorial management position in the company. Isaacson, 48, was most recently Managing Editor of Time. Isaacson fills the position recently vacated by Henry Muller, who is now an Editor-at-Large at Time Inc. Jim Kelly, 45, currently Deputy Managing Editor of Time, will become the magazine's Managing Editor. The Isaacson and Kelly appointments are effective January 1, 2001.

E! Entertainment Television Co-Founder Larry Namer has joined Space Media, Inc.'s (SMI) Board of Directors. SMI was formed last spring as a subsidiary of SpaceHab Inc. to create proprietary space and technology-themed content for broadcast and Internet distribution.
