Meredith Corporation, a home and family media and marketing company, has announced that Christopher M. Little, Senior Vice President and President of the Meredith Publishing Group, will retire effective December 31, 2000. Nickelodeon has picked up 26 additional episodes of Little Bill, the preschool series created by Bill Cosby. Walter Isaacson has been named Editorial Director of Time Inc. Editorial Director is the second highest editorial management position in the company. Isaacson, 48, was most recently Managing Editor of Time. Isaacson fills the position recently vacated by Henry Muller, who is now an Editor-at-Large at Time Inc. Jim Kelly, 45, currently Deputy Managing Editor of Time, will become the magazine's Managing Editor. The Isaacson and Kelly appointments are effective January 1, 2001. E! Entertainment Television Co-Founder Larry Namer has joined Space Media, Inc.'s (SMI) Board of Directors. SMI was formed last spring as a subsidiary of SpaceHab Inc. to create proprietary space and technology-themed content for broadcast and Internet distribution. Playboy Enterprises, Inc. said that it has withdrawn the registration statement relating to its proposed initial public offering of a minority interest in its Playboy.com online business due to weak market conditions. Netscape Communications, a subsidiary of America Online, Inc., has announced the launch of its Netscape 6 browser. Primedia's Americanbaby.com, an online guide to new parenthood, has announced that Dottie Enrico, 41, has joined the company as Director of Content Development.
