Infantelligence Magazine to Launch January 2001

Infantelligence, a new parenting magazine devoted to early learning, is launching in early January 2001. Infantelligence promises to explain and explore recent scientific discoveries in neuroscience that demonstrate how intelligence is formed from conception through the first two years of life. Infantelligence Magazine is published by the new media company, Infantelligence, Inc. and is headquartered in Taos, New Mexico with offices in Phoenix, AZ, Los Angeles, CA, and Brooklyn Heights, NY.

Infantelligence editorial includes feature articles such as How Smart can Babies Be, Father Nature: It Takes More Than Testosterone to Make a Father Out of a Man, and How to Build a Smart Nursery. Infantelligence will also provide interactive features including breaking news and features, a handbook for early learning, and further support with online infant assessments, and electronic newsletters customized for parents.

Hara Estroff Marano is the Editor in Chief of infantelligence. Marano is the former executive editor who launched American Health magazine. She was also the editor-in-chief of Psychology Today when it relaunched in 1992.

Marano says in a statement, "Parents today -- both mothers and fathers -- invest a great deal in their children, psychologically as well as financially. New parenthood taps the deepest dreams and aspirations of parents. Infantelligence addresses those dreams and helps parents create a world of smart and happy children who will be prepared to build the next generation of society."
