Meredith Corporation, a home and family media company, announced a new, expanded agreement with America Online, Inc. Under the multi-year agreement, Meredith's cooking, home improvement, gardening, health, family finance, and lifestyle information will be available to online consumers through a series of anchor tenancies and other placements across AOL, CompuServe, Netscape.com and AOLTV.

Meredith will continue to be the premier provider of recipes to AOL's Recipe Finder and will provide access to more recipes In addition, the new agreement will enhance Meredith's initiative to generate more magazine subscriptions by featuring Better Homes and Gardens and other magazine titles across the Shop@AOL online shopping destinations.

``We are very pleased to expand our current relationship with America Online,'' said Stephen M. Lacy, President of the Meredith Publishing Group. ``Our objective is to be the leading source of home and family information for American families. America Online certainly helps us accomplish that goal by making content in our core categories of home improvement, decorating, food, gardening, finance, and lifestyles broadly available to the users of their brands. We expect our new alliance will also increase traffic to Meredith websites, and help enable us to sell more Meredith magazine subscriptions and books online.''

``Meredith's content has been extremely popular with the users of our brands, and I am happy to extend and expand our long-standing relationship,'' said Jonathan Sacks, President of AOL. ``This new agreement will make it even easier for online consumers to take advantage of the wide range of great information from well-known and trusted brands such as Better Homes and Gardens, Ladies' Home Journal and Family Money. Making the online experience even more convenient, the users of our brands will now be able to subscribe to these magazines through Shop@AOL.''
