BiZBash.com Launches New York Website

Posted on February 23, 2001

BiZBash.com Idea Center, a media outlet targeted to corporate event planning and business entertaining professionals, announced the launch of its New York website. New York is the first of 10 markets BiZBash plans to serve. Initial BiZBash.com financing was from Milestone Venture Partners, along with individual investors and organizations including William F. Reilly, former chairman and CEO of Primedia; Insignia ESG; and Matthew Bronfman.

As a news, information resource directory, BiZBash aims to make planning and post-analysis of events faster and more reliable. BiZBash event coverage includes conferences, press conferences, fashion shows and product launches, to galas, premieres, holiday parties, parades, protests and sporting events. The resource database lists event planners, decorators, dance floor painters, red carpets, live animal acts and cookie painters.

BiZBash was created by former Primedia corporate communications chief and founder of Washington Dossier magazine David Adler, who saw the need for a source for reliable, updated and comprehensive event-related information while he was creating events for media properties, associations, charities and corporations. Adler serves as CEO and editorial director; Jonathan Adler, a media entrepreneur and pioneer of the Apartment Guide multi-market directories, is chairman and COO; and Richard Aaron, CMP, CSEP, a 25-year industry authority, is president of the Company.

``BiZBash.com is more than just an electronic black book with all the hottest names and numbers. Instead, it is an information source that leads users to the best resources in the specific area they need - event planning, computerized registration, invitation design, catering, decor and more. It is the equivalent of having a White House social secretary on your staff. BiZBash is an elite bazaar where a user can peak over the fence at someone else's event to see the latest news, then find, check out and hook up with the resources they like,'' said Adler.
