Posted on March 7, 2001

eBrandedBooks.com announced the name change of their company to Aspatore Books (named after the CEO, Jonathan Aspatore). The ePublishing arm of eBrandedBooks.com will become Publishville.com and the B2B services arm will become Big Brand Books.

According to CEO, Jonathan Aspatore, ``As the book publishing industry rapidly changes, Aspatore Books is now well positioned to take advantage of its evolving climate with our new three-pronged business model that combines the best aspects of traditional book publishing with the new abilities enabled by the Internet and technology. Having built the most efficient publishing model ever, our goal is to become one of the largest book publishing houses in the world in record setting time and to publish best selling quality books that share knowledge and entertainment with the world. At Aspatore Books, we are focused on infusing creativity, innovation and interaction into the book publishing industry and providing a heightened experience for readers worldwide.''

The shift enables Aspatore Books to pursue a three-pronged business model. Aspatore Books focuses on publishing traditional print books, while its two portfolio companies, Big Brand Books and Publishville.com, focus on developing areas within the book publishing world. Big Brand Books assists companies and individuals with book writing, publisher negotiations, book publishing, book sponsorship, and book promotion. At Publishville.com, individuals can electronically publish books, articles, speeches, plays, reports, and more. The company states that writers retain all rights to their work, set their own price and earn 50% royalties. Aspatore Books is a private company headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts.
