Seattle Pictures Forms Producer Advisory Board

Posted on April 18, 2001

Seattle Pictures has announced the formation of its Producer Advisory Board. Established local film producers Larry Estes, Scott Rosenfelt and Thomas Lee Wright make up the three-member Advisory Board, assisting Seattle Pictures' management in the fulfillment of their mission to serve as a catalyst for creating a major motion picture industry within the greater Seattle metropolitan area. The Board will advise and counsel on the development and execution of the Company's annual film production schedules, beginning with plans for producing three full-length feature films to be shot in the Seattle area in 2002.

``The experience and expertise of Scott, Tom and Larry will aid our goal of producing high quality, commercially viable motion pictures in Seattle,'' says Brad McCall, Seattle Pictures' President of Production. ``We are extremely fortunate to have the advice and support of such a talented pool of Seattle-based producers.''

Scott Rosenfelt has earned critical acclaim as a producer for his work on such films as Home Alone, Mystic Pizza, Teen Wolf and, most recently, Smoke Signals, which he produced along with fellow advisory board member Larry Estes while serving as co-President of ShadowCatcher Entertainment, a local film production company. Thomas Lee Wright's most recent work Trade Off, a film centered around the recent WTO demonstrations, was voted Best Documentary at the 2000 Seattle International Film Festival. Larry Estes is co-founder and co-Chairman of SearchParty Films and former co-President of ShadowCatcher Entertainment.

Seattle Pictures was founded in January 2001 to serve as a catalyst for building a major motion picture industry in the greater Seattle metropolitan area. The Company's initial plans include raising $15 million for the production of three full length feature films in 2002 to be shot in Seattle using local talent and production facilities. Seattle Pictures is actively seeking film projects and quality scripts from Seattle-based writers and producers.
