Intervisual to Produce 3-D Harry Potter Books

Intervisual Books, Inc., announced it has received a contract from Scholastic Inc. to produce two interactive books based on J.K. Rowling's bestselling Harry Potter series. The books will be published in Fall 2001 to coincide with the release of the full-length Warner Bros. movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Scholastic, which already has over 48,000,000 Harry Potter books in print, will market the new 3-D books in the United States and Canada.

Norm Sheinman, IBI's President and COO, said, ``We are delighted to have this opportunity to produce these exciting Harry Potter books for Scholastic, a company with whom we have been doing business for over twenty years. The first book will be in the classic pop-up format with 3-D action scenes bringing to life the magical adventures of Harry Potter. The second is a book/playset version of the mysterious, three-dimensional castle known as Hogwart's School of Wizardry.''

Intervisual Books is a creator and producer of interactive, labor-intensive books and playsets for publishers. Scholastic is a global children's publishing and media company serving the needs of parents, teachers and children.
