CMP Media, a high-tech media
company, has announced the launch of
iApplianceWeb, a
website dedicated to the emergence of networked
and mobile information devices.
iApplianceWeb will provide news and industry commentary on the
technologies, companies and applications in this growing
market. The website will also include the Appliance Directory,
a resource for comparing device specifications on devices
ranging from Wireless Gateways to Web tablets.
``The information appliance sector represents some of the most sophisticated consumer technologies on the market,'' said Richard Wallace, managing director of the EDTN Network. ``As this space continues to grow, iApplianceWeb will be there first, reporting developments as they happen. No other website has dedicated itself solely to this market with the depth and breadth of information we'll deliver.'' iApplianceWeb is the newest community of the EDTN Network and is produced in partnership with Appliance-Lab of Austin, TX. Appliance-Lab, staffed by a team of engineers and appliance developers, works in concert with EDTN to produce news, features and reviews for the site. A product evaluation lab and multimedia studio has been established in Austin for conducting and recording hardware and software product reviews.
