Voyagi Launches Magazine Targeting Self-Service Retail Market

Posted on May 16, 2001

Voyagi, Inc., a communications and publishing enterprise, announced the launch of //Self Serv, a new trade magazine from its retail interactivity publishing division. //Self Serv is a large-format (10`` x 12'') quarterly publication targeting technology integrators within medium and large retail organizations including: grocery stores, supermarkets, clothing and merchandise retail stores, department stores, mass merchandisers and high-ticket retailers.

//Self Serv features self-service automation technology and equipment solutions as an integral part of CRM (customer relationship management) principals. The magazine is focused on providing self-service solutions that will empower customers through shorter waits in line, including self-checkout terminals.

According to a preliminary study performed by Voyagi, Inc., more than 42% of retailers will consider implementing self-service automation during the next two years. The implementation of this technology has grown by over 350% annually for the last five years.

Lief Larson, Group Publisher for Voyagi and Publisher of //Self Serv, said ``There have been numerous success stories with self-service automation over the last year. Our goal is to take this story to the streets, and build awareness. Impatient American consumers are demanding self-service and we're excited to be the first to cover this.''

The premiere issue of //Self Serv Magazine will be launched July 4, 2001. //Self Serv Magazine is the official publication of the SSAA, the self-service automation association.
