Pages Magazine To Hit Newstands in July

Posted on May 29, 2001

Advanced Marketing Services, Inc., a provider of customized services to book retailers and publishers, announced national newsstand availability of Pages, a bimonthly magazine for book aficionados, published by the company's in-house division, Creation Integrated Media. Previously, the magazine has been available to limited audiences at select bookstores and coffeehouses.

The consumer publication will appear on newsstands nationwide and in Canada beginning July 1, 2001. The cover price will be $4.95 ($5.95 in Canada). A yearly subscription will be available for $19.95.

``Pages magazine exemplifies a strong component of our business strategy, which is leveraging our book business expertise in the areas of book selling and customized services, global distribution and publishing to develop other complementary products and services,'' said Michael Nicita, CEO of Advanced Marketing Services.

``We received such a tremendous response from readers over the past 8 years that we felt it was time to make Pages available on a national level,'' said John Hogan, editor-in-chief of Pages. ``Pages is unique because of our intimate interviews with influential authors such as Tom Brokaw, Amy Tan, Anne Rice and Terry McMillan and in-depth new book profiles -- allowing readers to explore what books they want to add to their reading lists.''

The first national issue of Pages will feature bestselling author Walter Mosley, author of Devil in a Blue Dress, Blue Light, and most recently, Fearless Jones. Other interviews appearing in the July/August issue include Pulitzer prize-winning historian David McCullough, author of Truman, and most recently John Adams, Viacom owner Sumner Redstone and other renowned authors.
