WriteRead, a provider of resources and services for writers, has acquired AbsoluteWrite.com, a website for writers. WriteRead.com also recently acquired WriterOnline.net, an online ezine for writers. WriteRead.com provides content and services for writers including online classes, software and electronic and print-on-demand publishing services.

Bob Wagner, Chief Operating Officer of WriteRead, says in a statement, "We are extremely pleased to have Jenna and AbsoluteWrite.com join the WriteRead.com family of services. There are few sites, if any, that a writer can go to find the comprehensive content that AbsoluteWrite provides. This welcome addition only bolsters our mission of trying to provide writers with valuable content and services to help them attain their goals."

Jenna Glatzer, founder and editor of Absolute Write, decided on WriteRead because they shared her vision for the website's future. She says, "I wanted to expand, but couldn't do it as a one-woman show anymore. I had plenty of great content, but needed help with my business plan."

WriteRead has implemented a new site design and storefront for AbsoluteWrite.com and launched an email newsletter. Other new additions include book reviews, humor sections for writers, and several new columnists. In the future, Glatzer hopes to add bulletin boards to each area of the website, run more writing contests, host chats, and offer mentorship and critiquing services.

"I know the writing community is spooked about Internet partnerships now," said Glatzer, "But I wouldn't have made this deal if I didn't believe we were in capable hands."
