Response Magazine Becomes Official Trade Publication of ERA

Response Magazine and the Electronic Retailing Association (ERA) have joined forces in a move that transforms Response Magazine into the official trade publication of ERA. Elissa M. Myers, CAE, president and CEO of ERA, recently made the announcement of the new monthly department. Beginning with the July issue, Response will offer exclusive news and information of the Electronic Retailing Association, a Washington, D.C.-based trade association. Response Magazine is an Advanstar Communications Inc. publication.

``Our new association with Response Magazine represents a major opportunity for ERA and its members,'' said Myers. ``As the trade voice for the electronic direct marketing industry, Response Magazine provides a powerful reach, targeting industry executives on a global basis. In addition to serving as ERA's first monthly trade vehicle, Response will generate substantial revenues to our association's bottom line through the licensing agreement with the publication and advertising sales.''

Response Group Publisher/Publisher Gina Mullins-Cohen said, ``ERA is electronic retailing's most significant voice, championing self-regulation that serves to build the entire industry. We are proud to forge this unique partnership with ERA and look forward to providing our readers with the most comprehensive coverage of the electronic direct marketing industry available.''

Heading the editorial efforts of the ERA department is Tom Haire, managing editor of Response Magazine. According to Haire, the department will chronicle the association's ongoing initiatives, focus on its multi-faceted membership with case studies, executive and company profiles and opinion pieces, and put Response's editorial finger on the pulse of the dramatically evolving DRTV and interactive television industries.

Through a collaborative effort between ERA and the Response editorial staff, the ERA department will provide a forum for what works and why, where the opportunities are, success strategies, regulatory matters, fulfillment solutions and more. ERA is the trade association for companies that use the power of electronics to sell goods and services to the public. The purpose of ERA is to foster the growth, development and acceptance of the rapidly growing electronic retailing industry worldwide.
