These meetings include a conference in AIDS at the U.N. later this month; a global climate-change conference in Bonn in July; a world conference on racism in Durban, South Africa, in August, and the annual meetings of the World Bank and International Monetary Funds in Washington in late September. ``Using the latest technologies of communication in association with the sponsor of each conference, we craft each issue to suit the specific needs and interests of their conferees,'' Mr. Kheel said. ``At the same time, we include relevant news and views of the international community. In so doing, we are building a record of the deliberations of the world's leaders on such critical issues as globalization; sustainable development, global warming; human rights, poverty; social justice; race and gender discrimination; health care; education, and international conflicts.'' Conference News Daily also launched its website at confnews.com. Mr. Kheel said that the site would be a daily online newspaper regardless of whether print editions were produced at any particular conference. ``Our coverage of each conference will begin with an edition posted before the conference convenes on our website, with an edition summing up the results after the conference ends,'' Mr. Kheel said. ``Through our print editions and website, we are developing a major body of work that will serve as a continual reference source for the global community.'' President and editor-in-chief of Conference News Daily is Pranay Gupte, the editor and publisher of The Earth Times, and a columnist for Newsweek International. Earlier, Mr. Gupte was foreign correspondent and staff reporter for The New York Times for 14 years. Executive Editor is Louis Silverstein, formerly Assistant Managing Editor of The New York Times; Managing Director is Tamar Hahn, formerly of Thomson Financial Services; and Managing Editor is Anjum Niaz, formerly Senior Editor of Dawn, the leading newspaper in Pakistan.
